Please upload the image in .jpg, or .tif. formats.
What should the resolution of the image be? At Photo on Canvas you will find a list of dimensions of the canvases and the necessary corresponding minimum resolution. If our image has the least indicated resolution, it can be printed to that size.
2 or 5 mega pixels?
For images that have been taken with a digital camera with a maximum resolution of 2 mega pixels, please avoid selecting a large canvas, for example 120 x 160 cm. The most likely result in that case would be a blurry print.
On the other hand, a picture taken with a digital camera with 5 mega pixels is usually too big a file. Therefore, we advise you to reduce it somewhat before uploading the image. With the appropriate software, you can reduce either the dimensions of the image or its resolution.
Can I increase the resolution of an image with low resolution?
The general rule is: the higher the quality of the image file you upload, the better the quality of the print will be. Adding pixels to a low resolution image will never improve the quality of the image.
How is the image uploaded?
Once you have clicked on the “upload” button, you will be directed in a very comfortable and easy way, step by step, through the order procedure, with its various options. On each window you can individually select one of the different options available.
Is it necessary to mark the clipping on the image?
NO! Please do not make any markings on the image.
How is the printed canvas stretched over the frame?
The printed canvas is stretched, by means of a very accurate manual process, over a wedged frame, made of high quality materials, on which the taut canvas is then stapled.
In order to process your order as speedily as possible, we need to work with an image with a maximum resolution of 10 MB. This imposes no limitation, as a .jpg image between the size of 1 and 3 MG is sufficient to guarantee a top quality print on any canvas size.
Who will see my photos?
Processing your order is mainly done by means of an automated process. Once the printing process is completed, our personnel carefully check the quality of each print, and then the canvas is mounted and framed. In these latter two steps of the process, understandably the image is viewed by the personnel handling it. Nevertheless, we can assure you that no unauthorized person will view your images, whether online or offline.
